Spring Time with Marc by Marc Jacobs

I don't know about you but I am really enjoying the lovely warm days and cool breezes at the moment and these gorgeous pieces from the latest Spring 2012 Marc by Marc Jacobs collection have a fantastic summer resort feel about them. The colours are vibrant and bold and styling is oh so chic, I have some of my favourite looks from the show below.

Gorgeous Brooch Bouquets

I just love these gorgeous vintage brooch bouquets that 'Design Me Vintage' do, they are absolutely beautiful. If I wasn't already married I would definitely have this on my list of must haves as a bouquet.

I love using brooches and other bits of bling in my accessory pieces and these images have definitely inspired me to use more, I think the mix of colour and texture is really devinne.

And for the bridesmaids....

A New Outlook

After years of trying to keep up with it all in the city (Brisbane) and never seeming to be able to get ahead, we took a huge leap with my hubby taking up a new career opportunity in Mackay which meant packing everything up and heading off to the central coast of QLD. We are now looking forward to what the region has to offer us and are excited to have a new future for our little family. No strangers to small towns though, I grew up in Mt Isa and Andrew is from Mackay originally so we are hopeful  that we will be blessed with similar fortunes that our parents were when we were growing up.

Finding a decent rental in Mackay has been a challenge as so many people are moving to the area with the work boom but we were lucky to have the support of family with a place to stay until the perfect place became available. Now we are settling into our new home and are enjoying exploring the space (6 acres) after being in a studio unit for 2 months with 2 small children. We have already discovered a wonderful orchid with many exotic fruits and nuts, most of which I know nothing about but look forward to finding out what they are as each come into season. We have an abundance of oranges and have already enjoyed some yummy fresh orange juice which will be a welcome regular beverage each morning I feel.

We are set on the side of a hill in the country side but are lucky to only be about 10-15 minutes from town so have the best of both worlds really as I love the serenity of the area but like being close to all the necessities as well. The climate has been beautiful so far and breezes are lovely, the heat is dry which I much prefer to humidity too.

Well I think that's enough on that for now... I hope to make this blog a mix of all things gorgeous that are going on in my head, which really can be a bit of an eclectic mix of; fashion, accessories, interior design, rural living, cooking, family life, motherhood etc etc....all things that I love and adore. I hope you will enjoy and follow along.
